I want to hear it with an exhaust that is equally as loud as that glorious intake. It's bit "boring" if it sounds the same away from you as it does towards you... :P

The development on the engine started in the early 90's, so it is actually based on an FZR1000....essentially the granddaddy of the R1, but by the time RST completed the design, it had all new parts. They even make their own cylinder heads, based on the Yamaha design.

RST, also known as RS Performance. Mountune in England was selling them for a while, but they are designed by RST.
