Angeles GULIN , wonderfull Woman and Artist !! In this Repertoire is absolutely WONDEFULL : wath a "linea di canto" and wath a VOICE , mybe the best "Sound" at her time . Her GIOCONDA in ARENA di VERONA was the best (I was there) and even Bergonzi and Mac Neil had their problems to sing with her , because of the enormious power of her voice - in Italy people used to name her "Sopranoda bombardamento" and I remember that wery well : it was even written in a Newspaper of Verona . GRANDE GULIN !!!

Well Virginia Zeani is not an unknown singer,im sory,,But of Gulin i have never heard.Emazing rich Verdi soprano!!

Gulin's wonderful; her Verdi repertoire is gorgeously sung. She is a true lirico-spinto, however it's unfortunate that she was so underrated and not that well known. Many of the greatest singers were unknown artists! Just listen to Virginia Zeani for instance; she had a magnificent voice and yet no one knows who the heck she is!
