Thats a great movie. The gaffe in this scene that he gives this long speech about everything being in threes in Africa, and then proceeds to play a binary rhythm :-) You'd think they could have afforded a djembe player to catch slips like this.
But this is truly a good movie, well worth watching!
Thanks for posting this . My sister rented this movie for me and I forgot the name. I enjoyed the film and kept thinking about the drum scenes. Time passed and one day I found myself in a drum shop and mentioned this film, I asked the guy what type of drum it was and he said a Djembe from West Africa. They had a really nice used Remo 14inch with a cool African pattern "KinkeKloth" . So, I put down a deposit and now it is mine! I love it. Thanks again, Joe aka WaterRabbit, Cape Cod, MA, USA

I love this scene. Oddly enough, Richard Jenkins had more drum experience in real life than Haaz Sleiman.
