OSCAR MAYER Hot Dogs - Redford Power Outages Spoof

This is a spoof on the OSCAR MAYER Hot Dog commercial where the Dad shuts off the power to have some "family time" when he gets home from work.

Living the majority of my life in Redford I can vouch for how bad the issues with DTE have been throughout the Summertime. This Summer alone (2011) the residents have been without power multiple times whether it has been for a period of a few hours or even a full week. The sad part is, DTE seems to get the issues fixed and then something goes completely wrong. During the week long outage they had the services up and running three separate times and within a matter of hours the substation would blow and the city would be powerless once again. Either they (DTE) are half assing it when they fix it, hence it blows again, or the equipment they are using is just so dated it cannot keep up with today's energy demands. No matter what, this needs to get addressed soon.

Hopefully my little spoof can put a smile on peoples faces during what has been a very unfortunate time.
