I just changed the pedals on my bike in my garage.
I turned each crank arm I was working on, level, and pointing toward the rear tire. This way, I could use downward force.
I supported the crank arm I was working on with a small hydraulic floorjack, pumped up to the proper level and protected the arm with cardboard.
I took a 15mm open end wrench, and rapped the wrench with a rubber mallet until loosened.
Inspected threads, applied white lithium grease, and installed left/right pedals.
Done!

holy shit since when are u sposed to use a goddam hex wrench?!?

if the pedals are REALLY STUCK in there, try to apply force with the pedal wrench and the allen wrench (hex) together. hold the crank with your foot or use another person. worked for me...

Kallisti next time put some lube on the threads will ya !!!
OK, for those who have CRAZY tight stuck pedals: be careful, because the pedal may have been overtightened to the point of cross-threading. I this case, I HAVE seen bike shop mechanics take a soft mallet and bang on the pedal wrench to un-cross the threads. This works, but I prefer to get a pipe and EXTEND the pedal wrench, to gain more leverage. And YES, use a light amount of thick lube on CLEAN threads before you put the pedals back on. :)
