I saw this as a kid and i still love it as an adult.

When it was made, this was the most expensive cartoon to date. The island was built on a large turntable and rotated when the characters walked to give the illusion of movement.

Groundbreaking stuff in it's day!

Because that was what the game Donkey Kong was originally supposed to be, but the characters were changed from Bluto, Popeye, and Olive to Mario, Donkey Kong, and Pauline before the game was released.
