New MacBook likes to beep after a cold boot. No explanation why. If you force it to power down and reboot, it'll go straight to the OS with no problems.

I think its a RAM issue but I have no actual idea.

  • 1 beep means no ram installed or detected. You should put the RAM back to the place it was when the computer is sent to you.

  • i Got this problem when i was changing the RAM chips . and i took them out and put them back in and it worked maybe ram is not well clipped or w.e

  • Its a problem with the EFI update just download version 1.4

  • FYI it was a known bug in the SMC firmware which Apple have since fixed. My Macbook used to do exactly the same thing.
