A very rare record ,1 of only 2 records released in Australia by Jimmy Cavello. "Rock,Rock,Rock" on a coral 78 and "Yo Yo Baby" on a coral 45.

  • coral 18-67 Hi there, I believe that this is the prefix no for the American Coral 78. If you go to Google & type in "Jimmy Cavello 78" there is a link to a Discography of Jimmy's releases. Most of the Big Collectors., ...not me.... will tell you that it would have been highly unlikey for a lot of this stuff not to be released on 78 , & in some cases both vynal and shellack, Escpecially For 1956 & to co-encide with this motion picture, as 45's were not all that popular when 1st introduced . >>

  • I've got a copy of this record, exactly the same and this is the first time i've heard it. Just how rare is it? and what sort of money is a record like this really worth? does anyone know?

for some reason i've kept this record along with others over the years and yeah man its sounds really cool and i agree its like a time warp ... stray cats

  • the 78 is worth about 200 aud for an australian press

  • Here is the video on youtube of Jimmy Cavallo's 2002 show in England

    youtube.com/watch?v=DQctcux5CWw

He was 75 yrs old then.

  • Your turntable is running too fast. The song is a little slower than this.

I saw him play in 2002 in England at the Rhythm Riot Festival. It was the first time he ever played in the UK. He was fantastic even though he was 75 years young. He said to the audience, "Bill Haley beat me here, 50 years ago. It took me 55 years to get here, and I'm having more fun than you are."

  • The Jimmy Cavallo House Rockers, sang the title song, "Rock Rock Rock" in the 1956 film of the same name.

Allan Freed (DJ) made an appearance, as did . . .

    Lavern Baker

    Chuck (Crazy Legs) Berry

    The Johnny Burnette trio

    Franky Lymon and the Teenagers

    The Moonglows, and many more.

  • Great old record....thanks for posting!

  • My apoligies to MR CAVALLO ..

  • I all this time i never realised ......Niether did four and a half thousand others ...

  • At this point Cavallo sounds like he's trying to sound like Haley, and who can blame him. "Leave Married Women Alone" has a more individual sound I think (which makes sense since he may have barely known who Haley was back then).

  • very hot!, you made me realize how hot this song is! Check out my vid's with newcomb and my wurl 500 juke! Hope you like them!

  • Oh wow! A 78 of this. I don't know if it was produced in the US. I have the 45 of this
