Roosevelt Elementary Lynwood, CA- August 30,2006Workers removing ASBESTOS and storing tools for removal in the 1st and 2nd Grade girls restoom.Workers lack proper protective gear. No gloves, masks..etc....
Because he is only prepping his containment you dumbass. Trust me, if he were removing asbo, he would be donned in all of the required PPE. And, you wouldn't have a video of him removing, because that would require you to be inside the containment that he can be seen building in this video.
I agree. All I see is prepping (i.e. building neg air containment). There is no need for respirators. Actually, I find it funny that the poster of this video also lists gloves as the PPE that the worker is not wearing. But, anybody that knows this business knows that you can't prep a containment wearing gloves. The reason is that you are spray glueing and duct taping polyethylene sheeting to structural material. That requires fine touch and tactile dexterity of the phalanges. BS video.
As an AHERA Inspector / Designer I have to agree that I see nothing wrong in this video. Not saying things didn't go bad later...just that it looks like they are still in the process of building containment.
Again someone made a good suggestion. If you have any concerns speak to the Competant Person or Supervisor on site. They will be happy to show you what they are doing.
Looks to me like they are still "prepping", thats the set up of the containment. Also the fact that the dumpster door was open tells me there is not any waist in it yet - there for they haven't started removal yet. Get a life and let the people do their job, if you have a question ask the supervisor!!
Just the fact you used the term "gas mask" shows you are making a comment out of ignorance. Respirators are used in the industry. There are no gases involved.
The workers are VERY good role models for the kids

I see nothing incriminating in this video. Shoot, this video can pass for a couple of drunks walking into run down bar for all we know.
