http://gorillasafarisrwanda.com/Meru%20National%20park.htm Nkunga Forest, Meru Kenya has a large number of elephants. The forest is bisected by Meru-Nnayuki/ Isiolo Road. Due to continued vigilance by KWS and its close vicinity to Meru Town, the elephant herds are growing by day. Though not guaranteed, elephant sightings are a daily occurrence in this sector. Not bothered by the large number of goggling humans, this herd of 40 was foraging besides the road on 02/06/2011. Several accidents have been reported along this three kilometre stretch with fatal injuries. One death has so far been reported. Drivers are warned to drive carefully as the chances of colliding with Jumbos increase with speed. Despite this warning,
