It's 128 years since he was hanged at Melbourne Gaol, but the decendent of an Irishman extradited to Australia for stealing pigs in Tipperary is still causing controversy today. Ned Kelly is one of the most infamous characters in global folklore and he is being remembered today.

The film was on tv a few days ago and couldn't help noticing how inaccurate the end scene was. And how also how the Kelly gang seemed to be respected and even liked by the people he was robbing at gunpoint in the film. So I came to youtube to see if others had noticed all the blatant inaccuracies and instead I find people commenting about the "English police persecuting the Kelly's cause of their Irish ancestry" and that "Kelly was an Irish freedom fighter".

YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS.
Ned kelly and his family were persecuted by the police ... who were MOSTLY IRISH. His persecution had NOTHING to do with him being Irish. He was not a fucking "Irish freedom fighter". Him and his family/gang were hated by the MOSTLY IRISH police force cause of their petty criminal backgound.
You pricks will do anything to convince yourselves that the English are always the bad guys. Not even Anglo-Australians are spared your hatred.
