@Satoshi9801 The base began downsizing in 1994 and the facilities were closed in 1997. Population went from a robust 4,600 in 1990 to 316 in 2000, and then up to 326 in 2010. They received an $18 million hospital in 1990, just before the place began declining.

@marcal1957 Hey i was there from 86-87 at mar bks i was on third floor of the barracks...was a great place to be i enjoyed my time there being ffrom wisc. i felt at home.

I was there when they built it. at mar bks 85 to 88. My ex wife was one of the first mgrs. Sucks how the place looks now. Used to be a great place to live.
