I show off a really simple home-made device that acts like a basic steadycam.

A steady cam reduces shaking caused by a clumsy operator. :P

It is helful for action shots, or when you need to move the camera while recording.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    I have improved the steady cam since this video was shot by adding a second plastic jar filled with sand.

    When the weight is balanced, it makes a big difference.

    Sometimes, I think it is more effective to show things that don't go quite go right, and explain what went wrong; rather than pulling a perfectly finished piece from under the table.
