Why do people laugh at cossies? They're name is legendary in the tuning and racing world. You pull up to a decently tuned cossie at the lights and you better have something special under your bonnet. In acceleration terms at traffic lights and quater miles they're untouchable, Top speed is a little slow but 170mph+ from a tuned engine aint exactly slow wither.

@sparbaroku you dont need major mods on a cosworth yb engine that's the best thing about it, you can put little money into it to get huge gains, plus the chassis is good for twice the standard power.plus its about 230 hp stock

@adztegb18c Escorts come stock with 120 horsepower. They won't "always win" unless major mods have been done stock vs stock supras will beat an escort in every way, shape, and form. I do agree though that if they went to top speed the supra prob would have blown the doors off the escort. Plus it handles way better.

@sparbaroku the escort will always win in a short run for obvious reasons but get to 100 and the supra will dust it from then onwards they are more recognised for top speed which is far more superior than  the escort does make up with agile handling but that dont matter here does it...merry xmas

@sparbaroku Lol just a BP-t swap with a management system and internally built with a decent turbo and they're quick as fuck. The BP-T goes in with the same mounts as the OHC 1.9L Ford engine.

That was a surprize but the supra did spin tires, just shows don't matter what hp you got if you can't put it to the ground you just going to sit there, FYI Crossworth is one hell of an escort and don't forget escort was used for rally.....
