MW3 Shotgun Patch - January 24th, 2012

With the release of the new Call of Duty Elite content, the devs have also patched the shotguns.

Robert Bowling said the akimbo machine pistols were nerfed, the striker was nerfed, and the shotguns all fire 9 pellets rather than 8 or 6 (minus the striker of course, which is still at 6).

Well, that's not what I'm seeing in game. I've tested things out. The extended mags glitch is gone, and the ksg/usas have recieved a +3 pellet buff. Other than that, I'm not seeing anything notable.

If the devs nerfed the machine pistols, it wasn't notable.

Anyone see anything to the contrary?

Dunno if you're aware, but on the PS3 as of right now, the USAS and KSG got that pellet buff, but the extended mags glitch still works, so they deal ridiculous damage with damage and extended mags. The USAS was making 1-shot's the SPAS and 1887 wouldn't dream of.

with extended mags, how many pellets does the spas-12 fire. 8 or 12?

Obviously this is PS3 only. I don't have the game on both systems (yet).

the spas is much much better, aa-12 sucks and is outclassed even by assault rifles at close range for TTK, fire rate, ammo capacity, extra ammo, reload time many times and spread.
