  • What a dreadful conversion. It does not even scroll. Its an insult to call this game Pac-Land

  • it was a pretty poor conversion i agree - i think both the cpc and the speccy versions had single screen screens

comparing that to the arcades and the namco original it was a bit poor i know what you're saying

  • Hm I think you got ripped off paul. If you look at the title the rom was hacked!

  • lol your right - didnt notice that until you pointed it out - its a pirated hacked version lol

  • i forgot.. the zx processor z80 was used too incredibility on an music apparat, digitech ips33... i opened it and it used this processor.. it was an old guitar harmonizer, pitch shitfer..

  • i had this game on my zx sinclair "with pistol".. the spectrum had a superior processor than 64. just the zx was no project for games. the processor was more quicly and write programs was more easy. zx wronged when changed a chip, this caused the bad colors with the computer, for example when blue and yellow was nearly, they mixed or something like this.. nice times.. im sad..

  • retro!

  • If you want the arcade version of Pac-Land at home, get Nmco Museum Vol. 4 for Playstation.

  • i prefer driving games on the speccy than 64, but i preferred 64 games over speccy depending on what they were, 720 is a classic example

  • I remember playing pole position and was amazed.. and commando and star strike.. hhm although the c64 I liked for driving games.. buggy boy , pitstop 2, turbo outrun to name but 3.. the original outrun on c64 was pretty sh**

  • ah I just looked up the x68000 . was out in 87.. guess it was the time of the amiga / st.. same motorola cpu ? but only out in japan.. so no wonder I missed it.. I did the the errm turbo graphics at a friends house, the portable pc engine.. although do you remember the matel aquaris? hehe all of 2 games that were amazing at the time, dungeons and dragons as well as burger time. The c64 version did impress me in the sense of I do a bit of ASM , so it was a nice conversion.

  • The PC engine was very good, but the ultimate home conversion was on a little known home computer called the Sharp X68000. I have many arcade conversions on my Sharp, and they are all pretty much 100% arcade perfect. I doubt you would be able to get hold of the actual computer anymore, let alone the Pacland floppy, I have had mine for years and have not seen any about on eBay for ages, but you may be able to find some videos of it.

  • No, he's reviewing Pacland.

  • so your reviewing pacman.....for the spectrum..
