Wow, someone else who thinks it's ok to beach a Pike. These fish are delicate and under NO circumstances should you ever beach a fish which is going to be returned (and even fish which are to be taken i.e. Trout, should be netted). Beaching a fish is lazy, stupid, damaging and disrespectful to the quarry.

Think your gonna need a 9 weight for most situations, build your own, also great fun!

hi...i do pike on the fly a lot..im 14 and my biggest fly caught pike is 20lb 08oz...i think the pike you caught was about 8-9lb...well done-:)
