The Twittersphere takes tweets from Twitter from the internet in realtime and displays them on a spherical display the "Twittersphere". The system consists of a hardshell with fishey projector supplied by Pufferfish Displays Ltd. The software was written in Quartz Composer accessing the Visible Tweets feed by mean sof the Kineme Webkit plugin. The Twittersphere was created by Dr Mark Wright based at the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. First public display was as a realtime feed at Techcrunch Europe (Edinburgh) 12th May 2010.
