I hated this movie and loved it at the same time. Soooo sad but so sweet, makes me want to give them both hugs!! :(

@FredToodles2011 I would have to disagree with you there. Yes, it was sad, but it was also very uplifting. The way I saw it, both Mary and Max had better lives because of each other. She had a sad life to begin with, but it was much better at the end, which probably wouldn't have happened without his encouragement, which goes the same for him. While it was incredibly sad at times, it had a really positive message and a beautifully poetic story. That's how I interpreted it anyway

Just recently watched Mary and Max. And I ended up watching it 3 times within a few months. A very underrated movie, in my opinion.
Now I can't hear Que Sera Sera without remember the suicide scene. :S
