@ZebFAN2010 LAST TIME I CHECKED STEP BY STEP WAS AN INSPIRATIONAL SONG AND MOST GOSPEL ALBUMS/CHRISTIAN CONTEMPORARY ALBUMS HAVE SPIRITUAL SONGS ABOUT PRESSING ON AND MOVING FWD. TINA IS DEFINITELY NOT THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PERSON BUT IN 2010 SHE LOOKS A HELL OF A LOT BETTER THAN RETHA. SHES STILL IN FABULOUS SHAPE AND HER OVERALL STYLE IS BETTER. ARETHA WAS FLY BACK IN DA DAY BUT NOW SHE LOOKS LIKE MRS. POTATO HEAD. AND TINA CAN SANG GOSPEL IN AN UNCHAINED MELODY. SHE GREW UP SINGING GOSPEL.

As far as looking better, look up Aretha's performance of "Nobody Does It Better", she is gorgeous! During the late 70s, Aretha was beautiful! However, what kind of shallow argument are you trying to make? That fat people don't deserve to be the greatest singer? Is that what you're getting at? I'm not sure where "Tina Turner looks better than Aretha Franklin" is coming from? Do you just like singers who you think look attractive? Personally, I'm not at all turned on by Tina Turner

@cchllover Singing R&B and gospel doesn't make Patti or Aretha at all hypocritical, however Tina Turner has never done a gospel song that is likened to any style remotely similar to what any Gospel singer does (nowhere near Mahalia, Clara Ward, Albertina Walker, or anyone else) Tina Turner could never sing a song with an unchained melody in gospel form. Aretha Franklin is a master at doing that.
