Power of the Daleks Reimagined Part 2

Welcome to the second instalment of the Reimagined Power of the Daleks, starring Nick Scovell as the Doctor and featuring guest stars Barnaby Edwards, Nick Briggs and Lisa Bowerman. Made as a 'not for profit' fan film we do hope to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Children in Need via advertising.

Call it a 'work in progress' as some of the post-production work remains ongoing - so the 'movie' version will be different!

The full film will be shown on the big screen Saturday 1st September in Hi-Definition as part of the Power Reimagined Convention http://www.power-convention.co.uk/ which will feature guests including Anneke Wills and Christopher Barry (who worked on the original) and Michael Troughton (son of second Doctor, Patrick). Nick Briggs and Barnaby Edwards will also be appearing but check the website for more info.

We've opted not to go full Hi-Def on these releases for several reasons. Mainly so cast and crew get the advantage of their own high definition copy when it's complete, partly because a lot of "borrowing" seems to go on and partly as we are still making creative tweaks so it still has an element of "work in progress". However, we hope you'll enjoy our efforts.

I like this reimagend Power Of The Daleks but some of it doesnt make sence the doctor wasnt in UNIT cause POTD was right after william hartnells regeneration in which the 1st doctor didnt know UNIT and where are his companions

other wise its great but id like it if ud kept the original plot cause i dotn know how the eîsode actualy went

Glad you enjoyed it but it's not intended to fit deeply into series continuity, hence the "Reimagining". We could never recreate a facsimile of the original which would do justice to the original. Look around on YouTube and you'll find several reconstructions using the original soundtrack to see how the original story plays out.

P.S. this has the feel of the 2005 series when it began again, before it became too overblown and ridiculous, also its nice to see an actor who isn't a 'pretty boy' in the main role, i.e. a traditionally styled Dr from the classic series I grew up with. Really liked the quality and the silver Daleks based on the Davies series type.
