Although prep books and programs are great they are too expensive. What helped me most on the PSAT/SAT/ACT was repetition. I came across this app called SAT Daily on the android. It is immensely helpful. It's new, but I downloaded it and was amazed. It gives you new question, new vocabulary word DAILY& new tip weekly. This kind of constant exposure really helps. I'm sure it will boost your score on SAT/ACT as well. & I scored in the top 2 percent. Search SAT Daily in the android market.

I think the best way to learn vocabulary is to read a lot. But even if you do, you'll still see words on the SAT you've never seen in your life. Will that be important in a job interview? Nah. Work is way different than school. Both may not require intelligence, but both DO require discipline. So these hooligans out there need to straighten up. Why is there no scholastic conduct exam?

I took the SAT last year when I was 27. Never heard of the SMC.
