  • @doglips1958 I've owned a couple 63's and a 61, I still fantasize about owning another one some day. Nothing quite like driving a 4,000 pound piece of metal down the road. I really believe the 61-66 model birds were the most beautiful cars ever built.

  • @dj63010 You are correct.Mine had a bad top cylinder, and I thought you had to run it to get it to work. These are neat cars, but were overengineered for their time.Mine is a red 64.Wouldn't give it up for the world. It's a gas hog though!!!!

  • @doglips1958 The car does not have to be running for the top mechanism to work however you better have a well charged battery.

  • Beautiful car, love the color, just hope we can get all the electrics working on my car as well as they do on this car !!!

  • @steve27612006 Yes,and you have to have the car running for the top mechanism to operate.Lots of bells and whistles, but not the most practical car.I have a red 64 and I love it!!!

  • It's an automobile. Remember when we used to make automobiles?

  • these puppies are NICE

  • Those rear turn signals are cool.

  • My late father had a coupe version of this car in the same color. It was the vehicle that brought me home from the hospital after I was born.

  • Do you have to hold a switch or button (down) while the top and trunk operate?
