Recognized as one of the worlds foremost artists, Professor Shin-hee Chin won Best of Show at the Fiber Focus exhibit in St. Louis, Mo. and was a finalist for the prestigious Lillian Elliott Award presented by the Textile Society of America. Her work (Spring Mountain) also was selected for display in the Cultural Arts Center in China. She is currently working on several artworks for the 10th Japan International Quilt Show and the Houston International Quilt Festival.
Professor Chin teaches Drawing I, Painting II, and Basic Design II at Tabor. Many of her students have won juried contests and have found their calling as professional artists and designers.
