the problem is that the government dished out land to super super big men (MOI, Gideon, etc.. ) then these same ones went ahead and sold the land to these people who are being moved out of the forest. These same people DID NOT PERSONALLY steal the land. Those who did not buy were dished out land by MOI in order to get votes... the culprit? MOI and his people and Kibaki who refused to fight corruption...

Oh, Gideon was given 44.7 hectares and he was there doing the fund-raising... can you just imagine? Zakayo Cheruiyot was given 1955 hectares!!! and I guess he was also there crying crocodile tears.. if Ruto really cared, why has he not raised the issue of land-grabbers in parliament? For God's sake, he is the agriculture minister and most of the grabbing occurred in the ministry's lands (ADCs!!).. But he doesn't care - he was rubbing shoulders with the thieves

If only the same compassion had been shown for victims of '92, '97 clashes, Saboat, PEV, Isiolo, the countless number of people who die from hunger daily, slum dwellers, etc. But we all know why this issue is special, don't we?
