@jjbarbados The 52 million they gave to Africa about a month a go rings a bell,we're up to necks in debt and we are still giving money away to our previous protectorates and anyone else who wants a few mill.This money usually ends up buying guns instead of the food it was intended for.With our so called "Austerity" government I would have though ALL monies that were donated to other countries to support their governments would have been cancelled immediately.

@silver760 , what makes you believe `Our gov gives our money away´? the UK is no longer a major player in the world`s economy. Exports nothing the world needs. Owes 80% of its GDP. Has a red debt. Grows zero. Has an expensive currency to attract genuine invest and not speculators. Almost all service economy with no more Industry.
There are many succesful economies today growing, creating jobs, adding middle class to the table...the world just simply dont need the Royal empire any more.
