  • what ever happened to tony pepper

  • At last report, he is still residing in the Boston area.

  • Can anyone identify the Live on 4 theme music at 3:14, 4:01 and 5:12? At the time, WBZ was in between Klein's "We're 4" and Frank Gari's "The One 4 All" packages. Was this theme from one of those or simply a piece of production music?

  • The "Live on 4" theme is from Bruton, a British production music company that is today part of APM.

  • Do you know the name of the cut by Bruton? I have been looking for a title of the cut.

  • Sorry ... I do not have any title information for this music cue.

  • @krushsister Frankly, I didn't see him much. So, it doesn't matter. Also, I see him as no help to the Boston NEWS market given what's happened with it over the years. I do regret not keeping close watch of Steve Shapiro. He brought excitement to WBZ Sports, but now he does it for WSVN Miami.

  • Tony Pepper and Bruce Schwoegler!!!!!

  • The Gail Harris spot is classic. Organization, teamwork, an artist's touch, fancy footwork... NOBODY can have a sense of humor in local news promos anymore, pretty much!

  • he just did, this thursday

  • @DGarcia879 Rumor has it that he's retiring.

  • People like Jerry Liddell, Maurice Lewis, Ed Berger, David Scott, Kathryn Kiefer, Candace Hasey (Evening Magazine) and Mary Stewart were also on WBZ.

  • Actually, John Henning was on 4, 5 and 7. Jack Hynes was on 4 and 5. Bob Ryan weather came and split before Bob Ryan sports, and Don Gillis (like the Ryans) was Channel 5. I got to experience some of the WBZ life from '73 to 79.

  • Congratulations VintageTelevison! This YouTube clip was featured on WGBH-TV's Beat the Press last Friday night with Liz Walker leaving (read forced) out of WBZ at the end of the year.
