Steve Albini has big glasses and much in the way of grisly stubble, but he doesn't have a fully waxed handlebar mustache.

I've met him and seen/dealt with him a number of times. He's a rude language sophisticate...nothing more.

nothing more??? He's arguably part of three of the BEST noise bands ever that's all. Oh yeah, and he produces underground bands for cheap and overcharges signed bands.
