now this was a damn good race, and it's a damn shame NASCAR left such a wonderful track. No other place like it, this is the only track where there's racing all around the field

i am and will be a NASCAR fan until the day i die but i gotta say they are gettin full of themselves! they need to go back to their roots where their real fan base is and bring these tracks back... this was REAL racin'

On September 29th, 1996, one of the saddest moments in NASCAR history was observed. Hopefully, there will be a day where the headline in a newspaper will read "North Wilkesboro lives on again in NASCAR" Let's hope that day will happen soon...
