http://jbscresties.com Geckos can be overweight, just like any other animal. It's not healthy :( Keep them trim and don't overfeed!

  • Hey I ooze all your videos tearer great and your website, I have a one year old crested gecko and I'm planning to get another in the same tank that's a couple weeks old. Would they get along, if no what would the older one do to harras the younger baby gecko

  • @struga3402 You... what? Ooze all my vids? EWWWww haha. But yeah do not put your geckos together. The larger will bite the smaller, possibly causing great damage. You should be housing them separately or don't get another gecko at all.

  • Hey i just had to questions, my house at night can get very cold, i have had my crestie for about a week and is about 5 in long with tail, not sure how old, anyways if it gets cold would you recommend that when i spray his enclosure to do so with warm water? Also where did you buy your magnetic ledge that holds a food dish, been looking around for one but cant find one quite like the one i saw in one of ur vids. Thanks!

  • @partyzfinest99 No, water that feels warm to us can burn the skin of a gecko (remember, they can't even close their eyes to protect them) and the water will just cool off again in a few minutes. Look into an under-tank heater (do NOT use anything like a heat rock that a gecko will sit directly on - that will cause burns as well) for one side of the enclosure and keep in mind 70-81 degrees is fine for them. Look at pangeareptile for ledges.

  • @MRsuperlyawesome Some people do, I like other feeders (that you can gutload easier and that are meatier) more, like crickets and feeder roaches. They're also kinda hard-bodied and cresties have soft jaws for reptiles, so I like the softer feeders anyway.

  • Is it ok to feed crested geckos meal worms?

  • @96FlyfisherDrew It's... probably mold? A constant humidity of 80% is too much for crested geckos. You want it high at night but you want it to get drier over the daytime (50-60%). When you use soil substances for substrate you want to have a drainage layer to prevent pooling and molding...

  • I have noticed a strange, white, mold-like substance in my crested gecko tank. I use exotera tropical plantation soil, have a humidity of between 75-80%, and feed outside of the tank. It is driving me crazy!!! Please tell me what I'm doing wrong ASAP!!!!!!!!

PS. Thanks for the info about overweight crested geckos
