Where are all the sound efx? All you hear is music, why no sound efx?

first time i've seen this, obviously a port from the Amiga original. All i can say is, what the hell did they do to it!?

such a sweet game but a massive head fuck, im sure the developers were tripping on acid when the concept of this game was devised!! 5*****
