Can we not just agree that both shows are great in their own way?

America has produced some great comedy shows such as Arrested Development, This version of the office, 30 Rock etc... But so has England with shows like the original office, Faulty Towers and Blackadder etc..

Lets just appreciate it all dudes rather than just try an diss a show because its not from your particular country or summat.

@euanfranklin1 there is a differences between what American audiences "get" (i.e. are able to compute the jokes) and a comic SENSIBILITY, i.e. what is found to be more funny. Every culture and subculture has a comic sensibility which overlaps with, but does not match, any other culture's. From what I've heard, certain types of Semitic-language puns would not be funny to anyone in the western world, etc etc. Neither is superior. Note how many americans love the UK Office and watch BBCA

@caffingdu I would admit that the American Office is brilliant and some of it is original. But the problem with it is that it doesn't have the same subtle humour that the British one has because Americans generally don't get that. They want something obvious rather than something clever, and they took that away in the American Office.
