Simple, sort of! Five paper clips soldered together in a basic spider form. Add a cellphone pager motor, a button cell battery, foam tape and a couple of wires and you have a variation of the bristlebot. Hot glue keeps the whole thing together. Scotch tape keeps the power lead (red wire) in place. This is a prototype, for me. A variation would be to replace the button cell battery with a small solar cell or broken solar cell.
