Diese Stimme entspricht in keinster Weise den Anforderungen der Rolle. Man darf nicht eine verquollene Null-Diktion und verwaschenen Rhythmus mit "warm", "weich", oder "rund" verwechseln.

Rattle does a good job with the score at 01.17, but this woman R's rolling too much. This needs a German singer.

Eigentlich schade..., aber auch die feurigsten Blicke und die melodramatischsten Atemzüge können nicht über einen Mangel an Höhe, Diktion und schwebender Kantilene hinwegtäuschen. Über diesen Typ Sängerin sagte einst Birgit Nilsson: "Viele dramatische Soprane sind in Wahrheit hochgesungene Mezzos mit zu fettem Klang."
