Mist - Xaos and Xaos 2 (On Hardware)

This is as close as I think I'll ever get to a successful capture of this demo, it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the only way I can capture NTSC/60 is to use an FX5200 and enter Windows, but I exited back to DOS before running the demo.

Xaos came 6th at Wired '96, it was often used to wake up people who were drunk.
Xaos 2 is a 64K Demo released at General Probe '97.

² Usually I would use the onboard S3 card, but my box won't output NTSC.

Just wondering, if I were to run this myself, I'd be better of using a CRT in stead of an LCD monitor, wouldn't I.

@42asshole Yeah, I've tried this on LCD monitors, they seem to spend a lot of their time displaying nothing but black. Hmm, the only LCD monitor I own is from 2003. I wouldn't mind trying this demo on an LED screen though.

Don't think it will make a difference, LED screens are lust LCD with LED back light in stead of CCFL's... LCD's probably just don't have a fast enough response time to display it properly, and the demo itself might actually be relying on ho CRT's work. Ok then, gonna run it on a CRT :)
