I've got to say that people here who claim that private corporations perform (or even can) perform this actions are talking out of their arseholes. Private sector corporations earn money, governments maintain a monopoly on force ideally to protect our rights. The idea that a corporation is somehow a controlling force is a pathetic Hollywood fallacy that makes no sense. Although scapegoating corporations and the bourgeoisie (hint, hint) has been useful for a long time now.
