  • Clearly the best method is the Mindtage.

  • sorry I tried togive you great info that could make the difference between becaming a filmmaker or not but dinnt go through contact me if you want

  • icerise if the actors are acting is consider a regular shot but if it is a reaction shot listening shot or if they are just sitting or standing is consider a cut away a cut away can be a clock a plant book etc but you better establish this objects or reaction shots on the master on the master other wise you can not use them a cuttaway is also called cat in the window shots or save my ass shots

  • What if it's an establishing scene with all the characters in it, then there's a sudden close up of one of the characters. Would that be a cutaway or just plain cut?

  • Insert shot is a close up or a detail which is already seen in the master shot(which is the part of the master shot). Using it, we underline the importance of it.

If the insert is not visible in the master shot, but it is (dramaticaly) the part of the sceene, it is called "the cut-away".

That is the propper way you should talk,

    buddy.
