In a city with few real landmarks, the figueroa st tunnels are one of the few real bright points. I love the deco mantles and how the mesh with the no-nonsense rounded interior, along with the breaks allowing sunlight and a glimpse of relatively undeveloped hills in the immediate surroundings. In another city, they'd just be "some tunnels", but they're one of the most "LA" landmarks, to me.
