"Big wheels keep on turning -
Carry me home to see my kin -
Singing songs about the Southland -
I miss Alabama once again -
And I think its a sin, yes -
Well I heard mister Young sing about her -
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down -
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember -
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow -
Sweet Home Alabama - Where the skies are so blue - Sweet Home Alabama -lord, I'm coming home to you -
In Birmingham they love the governa
boo, boo, boo -
Now we all did what we could do -
Now Watergate does not bother me -
Does your conscience bother you? Tell the truth -
Sweet Home Alabama - Where the skies are so blue - Sweet Home Alabama- Lord, I'm coming home to you - Here I come Alabama -
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers -
And they've been known to pick a song or two -
Lord they get me off so much -
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue -
Now how about you? -
Sweet Home Alabama - Where the skies are so blue - Sweet Home Alabama - Lord, I'm coming home to you -
Sweet Home Alabama - Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue - And the governor's true - Sweet Home Alabama -
Lordy - Lord, I'm coming home to you -
Yea, yea Montgomery's got the answer" -
SKINNY MOLLY at Renfrew Ferry [Nov. 2008]. In 1992 MIKE ESTES began going on the road with Skynyrd to write songs for an upcoming album, and signed a publishing deal with Skynyrd guitarist Ed Kings company I Cant Read Music. He had been writing for six months when he was asked to join the band as guitarist. He then spent the next three years touring, writing and recording with his favorite band, appearing on the 94 Capricorn release Endangered Species 1995s live recording, Southern Knights and the 100 Minutes with Lynyrd Skynyrd video. After moving to Tennessee in 1995, Mike co wrote a song with Johnny VanZant and Gary Rossington for Sony Musics Hotter Than Asphalt CD called White Knuckle Ride that broke the Billboard charts. This however, is the video of Mike's current band [line up: Mike Estes - lead vocals, guitar; Kurt Pietro - drums; Chris Walker - guitar, backing vocals; Luke Bradshaw - bass] performing the well-known classic 'Sweet Home Alabama'.
