In this video I convey the critical Philosophy necessary for wisely and prudently learning and teaching Urban Survival Skills. I discuss Philosophy for escape from custody and that we ONLY train to escape from ILLEGAL custody. I also discuss kidnapping and the types of skills needed to successfully survive and escape kidnapping. This video is meant to be a lead-in to my Urban Survival series and contains information I believe to be critical for the right attitude in learning these skills.

  • ROFL.......I'm already subbed to Kelly's channel. I think the escape and evasion videos is a very good idea. I do however think that there should be one course taught before this and that is " situational awareness" of your surroundings. Regarding people, exits, threats, and I'm sure you know there are many other factors that are too numerous to list here. This is just my thoughts, for what it's worth. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 well, you sure know how to find the good channels! ;) Kelly is a stud and one of my best friends. In our Urban E&E course we cover situational awareness very thoroughly. I'm not sure yet how much of the class content I'm going to post on my channel - probably just some of the skills and encourage people to take the class. There is a huge advantage to taking it in person. Thanks for the comment bro, I need to go catch up on your channel, been too busy shootin vids :D

  • I really like your videos phil. Very wisely spoken informational stuff. I still wonder if guys like you do get a lot of heat from LEOs or if most of them really look at it the way you described that it also helps to improve their tactics. Big respect to LEOs and also to ppl like you. Cant wait to see many more of your videos

  • @gavkoo I work with the local Sheriff and volunteer on their Search and Rescue team, I interact with them a lot. I've taught several of them what I know about restraints and they love it. My 16 year old son had one of the deputy's cuff him and he was out of them in about 8 seconds. Blew the deputy's mind!
