Thank you for this post. I am an American and my parentage is Irish and Greek. I always found it interesting (and sometimes downright uncanny) just how similar my two sides of the family were. The singing, the culture, their outlook on life all have striking commonalities.

Thanks for commenting! Yes, the similarities are obvious!! Maybe because both musics are pentatonic! This music (epirus music) comes from epirot mountains and it is clearly a mountainous music....
