Dave Moss of Catalyst Reaction Suspension gets intimate with Mat Mladin's 2009 GSX-R1000 American Superbike. Dave gives us a tour of the superbike's trick bits and design, most of which would be valuable on a normal bike too.

  • Hey Mr Moss....How are you?.....Do you attend all of the AMA Superbike races for tech support to other riders? Will you attend the AMA races in New Jersey this Sept 2-4th 2011?

  • @Kewlhurt I generally help privateers as teams have their own staff. I haven't been to many AMA events this year but am in the planning stages with 675.net for a track day at NJMP this Fall.

  • Mr moss tanks.....

    Very edjucating!

  • Our pleasure! Glad that you enjoyed the walk through. Imagine how long it would have taken with the Yosh superbikes from 2 years ago when money was no object!

  • GREAT STUFF! Thanks!

  • We plan on doing a lot more in depth analysis not only of top flight race bikes, but also models that you can buy every day from the dealerships.

We think that there is an audience out there looking for this information and from your comments, there's no doubt about it!

  • @SportbikeWrench

Thank You for replying....I must say I enjoy your videos, very easy to follow and understand. If you ever learn which dates you might attend in NJMP, let me know, I will try my best to attend.*

  • Awesome video! I'm just learning to ride/ race and I am working on tuning my bike. Thanks alot for the information!!!!!!

  • Awesome Review!!!

  • Two cables offer redundancy. One cable pulls, the other pushes. The push is the safety cable if you will, to make sure the throttle returns to the off position. On race bikes, we only use the pull cable because we constantly maintain them with cable lube and maintain the throttle linkages.

    Hope this helps,

  • What is the point of a single throttle cable as opposed to the two you see on most other bikes?
