  • does anyone know where i could get my hands on a copy of the music?????

  • Anne Briggs' self-titled album. It's in print, available pretty much anywhere.

  • @WhackaWhacka

Available pretty much no where worldwide...

  • @Malavern Not only is it available, but the whole thing is also included on the A Collection compilation.

  • @WhackaWhacka

Not here in Hong Kong it aint, and Asia in general.

  • @Malavern It is if you can get on amazon and order it. If you want to walk into any given brick and mortar store and buy a copy, then you might as well give up on buying anything.

You can meet me at the stile, you kiss and take your leave

And I'll wait it till the woodcock crows or the martin takes its leave

Since the snow it melts the soonest, when the winds begin to sing

  • Absolutely Beautiful.

  • I was going to say everything that 'ADyingFaith' said! This is beautiful and I loved it ever since I heard it on Tess of the D'urbevilles and thought it was the most amazing singing I had ever and will ever hear!

  • @babygirl33ful The songs English I believe, and Briggs is as well. Tangentially related, I find that the Irish really love things that are Anglo Victorian. It seems counter intuitive, so I've wondered why. Is it get what is due any way possible after all those unfortunate years, like the so many Irish now living in England? ;)

  • Absolutely WOW.Say no more
