Have you ever seen this game out there? It's a 12 years old, 3D Beat-Em-Up, that just happened to look like John McClain, so they slapped the name Die Hard on it and released it in America.

[Note to anyone who wants the ROM] I can't give it to you, legally, but google searching will bring it up. Two types of problems usual occur with most ROM files you find for MAME32: MAME32 claims files are missing; or game says it is illegal to run in your country.

For the the first problem, google searching the missing files and adding them to the original Die Hard Arcade archive should fix the problem.

For the second, right click the ROM file in MAME32 and go to properties, go to the BIOS region, and set it to USA.

If all else fails, just play "Dynamite Denka!".

  • Dammit I want this game. I used to play this at the arcade. I wish that they would make it for playstation 2. I herd that there is a playstation 2 version but it is only for japenese consoles. And that sux

  • Actually, you have it all wrong. As I think I said, this game came out for the Sega Saturn, which I wanted to play but there are no good Saturn emulators. There was a sequel to this game released for the Dreamcast, and it reached American shores! It's called Dynamite Cop.

Personally, I think there's no reason to not own a Dreamcast.

  • how'd you get this one to play on mame? i can only get dynamite deka to work.

  • I think what I did was google the specific files it says are missing from the ROM. That, and the common problem is that you have to manually set the Bios to US for DHA.

  • You arrest people by getting up in their face with the handgun equipped and hit punch.

  • make sure you have the s t v bios no spaces. and right click on the rom in mame, goto properties and then display, and click throttle, this will stop the sound from skipping :)

  • how come everytime i try to play this on all the mame emulators

it says "missing files the name of the game not found" i cant get alot of games to run and i got the newest version to why not????

  • Well, you can't give us the game legally but you could give it ILLEGALLY...

Come on, it's not a big deal. It's the Internet, fuck copyright.

  • just got this shit. loved the game back in the day, but the emulation leaves much to be desired. still,

    BEST DIE HARD EVER!!!

  • This guy narrating this game meeds to shut up.

  • i miss this game....

  • Aw, I'm fucking miss this game :c

  • @alecjahn but they have a right for entertainment. games that are lost if it werent for emulation means a piece of history, is also lost. many old games are good games, that paved the way for games today. if nobody bothered to save them then again, loss of history. it is necessary to preserve these games, like old dos games

noones acting like they have a right to play every game ever made, but anyone who gives a damn games, will keep them alive, in anyway they can..long after they can be bought

  • @Xegethra I certainly wouldn't expect the SS/ST-V to be emulated that fantastically. My argument for this title is that one might as well nab a cheap Saturn, download the ISO, and swap-trick the disc in. Emu isn't necessary, as nobody has the right to play every game ever made like they seem to think they do.
