Rufus Wainwright and Jorn Weisbrodt: Silent Night, December 11th, 2008 @ The Knitting Factory

The McGarrigle Christmas Hour/Wainwright Family Christmas Show has come to be one of my family's largest, and most cherished, holiday events and this year was no exception. Carnegie Hall provided the ideal setting for this round of masterful performances, but since they're seemingly uptight about what's recorded there (and what's posted on youtube as i found out many times), the clan gathered the next day at The Knitting Factory to capture some of the magic for a DVD release. I was honored to be able to take in both shows and i must say i now have christmas spirit out the ying yang.
