Well, i think it's cruel to put those horses into that horrible traffic in NYC, but come on.... please don't do the same shit like PETA and stop making it ridiculous! A horse that hase to come along with that horrible traffic, you can say that it is cruel... but a horse in the rain is abuse in your opinion?! what the hell is wrong with u? humanization is the cruelest thing you can do. Please stay by plausible arguments, because if you don't do, nobody will trust your organisation.

I have seen the horse slipped in the rain in NYC due to the congested traffic and all the potholes. It is especially dangerous to have horses in traffic during adverse weather. I have seen wild horses in the rain and it is not the same as a horse bound to a carriage in congested traffic in the rain. It is unsafe and cruel. Also the drivers leave the horse standing on the hackline in filthy standing water. That is just wrong. peace

The horse looks happy even if its rainy. Remember, horses in the wild have no shelter except for trees. I do admit that the horses could be hit by speeding cars but if the drivers of the cars watched where they were going you wouldn't have worry about them. I do also believe that the horses should be shod when they work on pavement most of the time.

but these horses are not in the wild, they are side by side with traffic including trucks, yellow cabs, buses, etc. It is dangerous for the horses as well as the public. if a car skids in the rain and the horses spooked then it is another accident. Also these horses work on hard pavement and exposed to all that fumes. these horses are deprived of an natural life and are kept in horrible stalls and have no mandatory retirement home. not to mention they are worked sometimes with no breaks

I'm a lifelong horse owner and lover. Horses DO NOT like moving in the rain. When left to their own devices with a little freedom they will turn away from the rain and wind, tuck their tails down, waiting out the storm; instinctively disliking a situation in which they are compromised, cannot see clearly or have to walk on uncertain or slippery ground. They're a prey animal who do not like anything unexpected. NYC is a hard, near impossible environment that must be monitored very carefully.

wow wish I had a horse that trained he's wonderful. sometimes a person and horse have to be put through perials to have great strengh and merrit

I agree. I'm sure for the most part these horses are treated well by their owners, but that is not the issue. They simply do not belong in this congested environment for the sake of tourism.

NYC is too congested, period. Too many cars, trucks, construction - simply too busy for a relaxing ride in a carriage. It works in other smaller cities, but not in NYC. Or, perhaps it can be tried in Central Park where there is no traffic and is more fitting to the landscape.

I agree with you,but i think you should make clearer for other ppl what y think and how y feel when you see this.Of course,y know what you want to show.but y have to make it clearer.instead saying those horses have to work in the rain,y could say those horses have to work in horrible traffic on slippery road cause by rain.If y don't stay by the facts it could be,that some ppl don't take y serious.i don't want to annoy y.sometimes can't write what i want because my english isn't best xD
