-
great job
-
how many years to restore it?
-
NO! You painted the grille? When I bought mine, the grille was painted. Do you have any idea how much work it took to get it back to bare aluminum? A new, proper grille with chevrolet stamped isn't a cheap part to pick up. If you ever get one of these to restore again, please don't paint the grille. Hahaha... I mean, it's yours, or was, and you can do what you want. I'm just sayin, that's a bold move on a truck you don't plan to keep, like painting a stone fire place. next owner's gonna go WTF?

i just bought a 69 model like this myself,i have the 250 6cylinder but with factory automatic.but no power steering.the body is in great shape.but it does smoke.

what kind of paint did you put on the floor chassis saver maybe came out nice doing my 71 gmc this summer
Grill was all bent up from previous fender bender. Lots cheeper and eaiser to paint when doing a quick resto then all the time to try and I mean try and straiten it out. Thanks for the comment.

@rogerscottburchett1 Yes truck was a solid truck. Was done only as a driver quality resto for a QUICK turn around to fund the GTO project. The guy who purchased it was going to turn it into a street rod. I haven't seen it since.

How much were these repairs/restorations? Did you do a lot of the work yourself?

Yes, I did all the work myself in my home shop. The truck was a quick resto to make money for the GTO project. See video (1968 GTO RESTORATION).
