Sharon Farber's demonstration and tutorial on painting the Moulton Barn in the Grand Tetons. Includes wet on wet wash, masking fluid, dry brush, lifting clouds out of a sky and spatter.

  • @J4archae Hi. Many artists draw freehand. Other methods include: 1. using a grid, where you lightly draw vertical and horizontal lines on the reference photo and the watercolor paper and use the grid to help you place the images on the paper. 2. Use a projector to shine the image on the watercolor paper and draw it from there. (I have never tried that.) 3. Use a light box and put the watercolor paper over the same size photograph and trace it. I hope this helps. :) Sharon

  • Sharon, or ms. farber; it looks like you are aplying the mask with the other end of the brush; Is this your own idea.

  • @bsonenthal1 Hi. I am using the brush end of the brush to apply the masking fluid, not the other end. :)
