According to Abu al-Hasan 'Alī al-Mas'ūdī's The fields of gold and the mines of jewels, Khashkhash Ibn Saeed Ibn Aswad, from Delba (Palos de la Frontera) crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 889 and returned with a shipload of valuable treasures (see Pre-Columbian Andalusian-Americas contact theories).

  • The first paper known to history was made in around 3500 BC by the ancient Egyptians who used strips from the papyrus reeds which they dampened, made into a criss-cross pattern and pressed into sheets. Our very word paper comes from "papyrus".

However, paper closer to our modern type was invented in China in about AD 705 by a scholar called Ts'ai Lun.

  • Yes exactly but paper was introduced to the Europeans by the Muslims and it was the Muslim who manufactured paper in large quantities

  • quote from the video at 2:9 seconds in the video:

"For this there was a new INVERSION, one that is still fundamental to learning and knowledge today. PAPER"

    end quote.

why does it say in your video then that Muslims invented paper then???

    please explain this little conundrum.

  • You did not listen properly at 2:21 seconds in the video it says that around the year 750 when Muslim reached central Asia they in counted paper for the first time.

  • And by the way ... it's true that Muslims early on were a enlistment people with great knowledge which drove the human race forward .

Sadly later on they got intellectually and scientifically retarded by religious extremist and fundamentalism.

the Christians back then when.... they invaded the Muslims lands and found all the archives and knowledge that Muslims had.... and took it for them selves ... resulting and there scientific boom and spread across Europe of Christianity.

  • You can research the history of the Muslims to know more, when the British invade the Muslim lands the first thing they did was to demolish the caliphate and began dividing the Muslim lands, and set up puppet governments (or dictators). In mid1900 the Muslims countries removed the divine Sharriah law, there is not a signal country in the world not even Saudi Arabia that has Sharriah Law, sadly more 70% of the Muslim population are illiterate so the are living the dark ages.

  • Actually his ancestors could have been egyptians... or even persians. People travel.

The modern paper is not the same as the Chinese paper by Cai Lun (105 CE). The muslims added starch to it .

  • The accusation that Islam was spread by the sword is just utterly ridiculous!

No Religion or ideology that can give rise to such a glittering civilization could possibly be that crude!

  • This retardation was created because muslims fell for sufism.

  • Modern paper for the pen.

  • sorry to tell you .... your ancestors didn't invent paper ...
