  • Superb sound, of a classic, TheRottersClub. Ace. Pity the credits didn't namecheck all the musicians. Danny Thompson, Jeff Allen, Jim Prime (?). I know that Max Middleton played keyboards with Martyn too, around this time. Glorious Fool, Sapphire, and Well Kept Secret are superb albums, and I'll brook no criticism of anyone who says otherwise!! Not even John himself, God rest him. KJ.

  • @OforOboe yes, agree it is a superb performance. re the personnel, I think you'll find the bass player here is not Danny Thompson , but rather (the distinctlively orange jumpsuit-clad) Allan Thomson . cheers. (great upload RC, thanks very much)
